Well… maybe you don’t… but as I am on the last day of my 6 month round the world trip I thought I’d answer the questions I’ve been asked most by friends, locals and travellers alike in the past few months…

1. How much did you pay for your ticket?
£2274 ($3400) for a one year round the world ticket with free date changes. The flights? London > Delhi – overland- Kathmandu > Singapore > Yangon – overland – Bangkok > Perth > Sydney > LA and finally Cancun > London.
2. What’s your favourite country?
On this trip? Myanmar. Ever? I have three -The Philippines, Japan, and Myanmar.

3. Where are you from?
This should be number one. I’ve been asked it with irritating frequency, I’m going to a hazard a guess as to an average of around 5 times a day for 6 months. That’s 900 times.. the answer is Scotland.. No? Ummm United Kingdom… close to England. Which state is it in America? Uhhhh no it’s Europe. Or in Honduras I was asked… is that close to Kosovo? Yes! I responded yes, because in comparison to America, yes Scotland is close to Kosovo.

4. How many marathons have you done? On this trip? Two. Ever? Five. How long have the marathons been? What? A marathon is a marathon! 26.2 miles!

5. Where’s next? Africa. A whole new continent and a whole new blog ScottishGirlRunsWithEthiopians.com…. look out for it…
